The history of the creation of this site spans over five years of sketching, abandonment, and re-working, after which it was eventually finalised in 2025. I crafted the visual design in Figma before developing the front end in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The content is delivered by WordPress in a bespoke theme.
The type on this website is set in SCTO Grotesk A by Schick Toikka, used solely in its regular weight. The icon family is a custom typeface I created to tie in seamlessly with SCTO Grotesk. I have plans to incorporate a serif typeface in future updates, watch this space.
All content on this website has been created by human beings, although artificial intelligence is used sparingly and exclusively under my supervision. It is never used creatively; meaning it is not used to generate ideas, evaluate decisions, create visuals, manipulate imagery, or write text.
Contents in English and Spanish are written by me and sometimes proofread by artificial intelligence, whose corrections I individually and manually implement following my own criteria and judgement. Contents in Portuguese, Asturian, and Irish are translated using various translation tools.
